Basiliek is a restaurant housed in a former abbey of the Order of St Agnes, highlighting its beautiful features – from the old vaults to the high, black stable doors and Romanesque windows with modern stained glass.
The unpolished brick walls give the restaurant a relaxed atmosphere, making it the ideal place for a lovely lunch or dinner. Weather permitting, you can also enjoy your meal on the terrace, which looks out onto the picturesque market square.
A few interesting facts & figures, you ask? The restaurant has 1 Michelin star and 16 Gault&Millau points, and ranks 56th in the Top 100 of Dutch restaurant guide Lekker. Needless to say, the restaurant is quite proud of its achievements. Every day, the loyal team takes on the challenge to exceed the patrons’ expectations and make Basiliek, with its unrivalled culinary experience, a place to remember. Chef Rik only uses quality ingredients, many of which are fair-trade and sourced from small local farms. Every dish is a true work of art. A must!
