Hanze junction route Harderwijk-Elburg
Discover this route, which boasts amazing views of Lake Veluwe. Just past the departure point, you’ll cycle along the foundations of the old St. Ludgeruskerk (St Ludger Church, near junction no. 01). After having sustained substantial damage during a storm in February 1825 and a fire in October of that same year, it was demolished.
The route then takes you along meadows, where you can admire sheep, cows and horses. You’ll see that the beautiful countryside in Elburg and Nunspeet is home to many agricultural companies. Past junction no. 01 you can also opt to follow junction no. 81, if the Zeepad path is open, that is. During the breeding season, this path is sometimes closed not to disturb the many birds that call this home. In Hierden you can admire many beautiful farms with lovely landscaped gardens, as well as impressive villas.
