Along a sparkling river, the river IJssel, described by many a person as the most beautiful river of the Netherlands, the mediaeval cities of Hasselt, Kampen, Zwolle, Hattem, Deventer, Zutphen and Doesburg lie as beautiful gems.

The former mercantile towns are pleased to introduce you to all they have to offer in the field of history, culture, natural beauty and arts. And this is plenty.
The glorious history of the Mediaeval Hanseatic League has amply left its tracks and transformed the cities into extremely attractive tourist attractions. Each of the seven cities knows its own charm: it is up to you to discover them and to get more closely acquainted with these charms.
